Let’s take some time and get to know each other a little more. I feel I am relatively open about my story and struggles faced along the way to get where I am today, but I realized that I don’t open up personally on who I am today. Here I am sharing with you 5 very random facts about me that no one asked for, but I hope you enjoy learning something new about me and sharing with me in the comments below something about you! Routines are the best thing we can do for our minds, bodies and soul. Having a routine suited to your lifestyle makes you more productive- thus, your successes will grow.
Of course, a routine is different for everyone but with a few people I have helped set up their routines to start their day have come to say how much of a change they feel in their day-to-day life, feeling more aware, productive and happy.
I will share with you shortly the tips of creating that routine but first, let’s understand what a routine is.

In the past few months, I have been hearing a word to describe myself by people I know or meet, and that word has been “confident.” I never was one to think of myself as a confident person, so to keep hearing this made me step back and see how much I have been embracing that confidence.
Coming from having no confidence in myself, always worried about my looks, or If I was doing something right, wondering if I was letting someone down? I just had a lack of self-confidence, and it was one of the main factors as to why I had such a negative mindset.
Gathering confidence in my self or the task I was involved in or relationships in my life I was in was my first step to learning to love myself and respect myself.

It took me years to really implement self-love into my life; I struggled with anxiety and depression and allowed that to take over my life and felt below worthless at times. I don’t want anyone to ever feel that way; it’s not pleasant, and honestly, life is too short. I wanted to put this out to the universe to anyone just needing guidance or a reminder that you are worth it. You are beautiful, and you can live happily, you can live your best life.
It took me over 10 years to really “master” the practice of self-love. It took a lot of hard work and will for you as well, but hopefully, with these tips, it won’t take you 10 years to master.
If you are a regular around here, you know by now how I am all about self-care and listening to your body when it needs a break.
I had a moment this morning where I was going to skip a morning workout out of pure laziness and it made me mindful of what my body wants vs to what my mind wants. How can you tell if your body needs a break or if your mind is playing tricks on you?

We can all get caught up in limiting beliefs, and I find by setting a daily affirmation will help guide you with a positive mindset. With this mindset, it will help guide you and motivate you to work towards your goals and to remind you of your worth. Whenever I get caught up with a negative mindset ( it can happen, Im, only human) I like to remind myself of my affirmation that I set, and it puts that smile back on my face, changes my mood and helps me get back into gear, and I set myself up for success. As you know by now I am all about self-development. I have put my focus on energy and how I absorb the energy and react to it. I wanted to share this because if I didn’t stick to setting intentions over the past week while my mental health was testing me, I don’t think I would have made it through successfully. before I started implementing my daily intentions I was feeling so overwhelmed with a feeling that I had no purpose or wasn’t growing because the reality was I was growing and I did have a purpose but being caught up in a negative mindset had me seeing life through a strong fog. So fast forward to today where I had spent the last several months working with a coach to create a healthy, positive mindset. Sometimes we just need a little push or a handhold to get us through our fog. So that’s what brings me to setting intentions and how these keep me in line with myself, goals, and maintain a healthy mindset Continue reading “Setting Intentions”
I wanted to share a little of my story and let you get to know me a little more on a personal level. With some new faces around the blog, I thought now would be the perfect time to open up.
I started The Life Of A Simple Girl during a time in my life where I felt I was just figuring things out and feeling more aligned with myself and my life. It became a passion to share my story with others in the hope it could help or impact someone else in any way. I wanted it to be a place of realness and a place anyone could come and feel safe and inspired. Continue reading “Then And Now”
I started to practice daily gratitude about one month ago. I never thought when I started that it would be so rewarding and impact my life the way it has.
I was living in a negative bubble, I was very good at hiding this most of the time but I was a miserable person. I was miserable with the fact I didn’t have the things I wanted in life, I didn’t have a nice couch, didn’t have the perfect apartment or the all-around the life that I wanted.
I would wake up every morning unhappy with no excitement towards my day, I would count down the hours until I could crawl back into bed and snuggle in my blankets. My anxiety and depression had full control over me and I was good at overcoming it for short periods of time but had no idea how to overcome this fully and truly move on with my life and live my best life.

After spending the last week in a funk I wanted to share easy steps that help me snap out of I and brought up my motivation to keep pushing forward. Due to old lifestyle choices, depression falls easily for me so It’s very important I stay on a routine and follow a healthy lifestyle otherwise the anxiety increases and it can make it extremely difficult to think clearly. Anxiety is when you feel you need to have everything figured out at once and depression is when the reality sets in that its not going to happen, the mixture of both are so strong that they start to control your every move so these steps are to be done one step at a time and as you start to practice each one you will see how they all start to fall in to place and work together. I can say this strongly as each time I drink into a funk I practice these steps and jump back to that happy lifestyle. Life is a learning curve, it’s ok not to have it all together at times, you’re not alone sometimes we all need an extra push, so for the next time that you do here are my 5 ways to Staying Motivated: Continue reading “5 Ways To Stay Motivated.”
